Playwrights Showcase of the Western Region

The Playwrights Showcase of the Western Region will include four full days of original play readings followed by critical discussions led by a panel of theatre luminaries; inspiring workshops and panel discussions; and opportunities to network with professional playwrights, directors, producers, actors, educators, and other theatre artists. 

This very special event was created in order to support the work of playwrights living in the western states of Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

Presented in partnership by the Red Rocks Community College Theatre Arts and Dance Department and Curious Theatre Company, the Playwrights Showcase of the Western Region is for playwrights, producers, directors, actors, educators, and community members who are interested in sharing a vital experience celebrates new works and the craft of playwrighting.

Registration is available for the full event, for individual days only, and for individual sessions only and costs range from $140 for the full event to only $17.50 for an individual session
