In the near future, 85-year-old Marjorie spends time with a remarkable companion: an artificial intelligence programmed to resemble someone she once loved.
As Marjorie shares stories from her life, her family begins to grapple with memory, loss, and the ways technology may reshape how we preserve our personal histories. Together, they revisit moments from the past, discovering that memories are rarely fixed and that the stories we tell often reveal as much about the present as the past.
Tender, thoughtful, and deeply moving, Marjorie Prime explores what remains when memories fade and how love endures across generations.

Ideal for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment. A judgement-free zone where many of the audience “rules” are relaxed. We may leave the house lights up at just a pinch through the performance or if you feel you need to leave the performance for any reason, you may. Most of our patrons will not notice very much difference — if at all — in their experience. No reservations are required.

Bio
Billie McBride, spent 20 years in NYC prior to moving to Colorado doing theatre and Television. Her NY stage credits include TORCH SONG TRILOGY (Helen Hayes), SAFE SEX (Lyceum) and THE KURT WEILL CABARET (Bijou Theatre). C. Kelly Leo (she/her) has appeared in theatres across Colorado. Favorite roles include: Jean in POTUS…, Diane Dahner in RANCHO MIRAGE, Betsy/Lindsey in CLYBOURNE PARK, Jenna/Ellen in MAPLE AND VINE, Hermia in DEAD MAN’S CELL PHONE, Claire in PROOF, Lil’ Bit in HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE (all at Curious Theatre), Nurse in MEDEA (The Edge), Elizabeth Proctor in THE CRUCIBLE (Arvada Center), Babe in CRIMES OF THE HEART (Littleton Town Hall), Viola in TWELFTH NIGHT (Phoenix Theatre), Christina in DANCING AT LUGHNASA (Hunger Artists), Antigone in ANTIGONE (Germinal Stage) and Marigold in THE COMMON PURSUIT (CityStage Ensemble). Michael Morgan (Jon) was most recently seen at Curious as Loyd in JOB and Breeding in THE MINUTES. Previous Curious credits include Tim in THE CAKE and James in TIME STANDS STILL. Other local credits include Tartuffe in TARTUFFE (Arvada Center); Edward in 10 MYTHS ON THE PROPER APPLICATION OF BEAUTY PRODUCTS (Buntport Theatre); Shag in EQUIVOCATION (Colorado Shakespeare Festival); and Midas in METAMORPHOSES and Remnar in ESCANABA IN DA MOONLIGHT (Aurora Fox). Awards include: Denver Post’s 2011 Ovation Award for Best Supporting Actor as Quango Twistleton in Curious’ HOMEBODY/KABUL Best Year For an Actor, 2018, Westword; and the 2018 True West award for his performance in Benchmark’s THE ARSONISTS.

Christy Montour-Larson, Director
Christy Montour-Larson has been a member of the Artistic Company at Curious Theatre Company for over 20 years and has directed 18 productions there, most recently BIRTHDAY CANDLES, EUREKA DAY, DOWNSTATE, TRUTH BE TOLD, and THE MINUTES. Her Colorado directing credits include work at the Denver Center (TWO DEGREES, SHADOWLANDS, THE GIVER, WELL), the Arvada Center (THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, CABARET, ALL SHOOK UP), Creede Repertory Theatre (THE 39 STEPS, AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, THE LAST ROMANCE), and Theatre Aspen, Theatre SilCo, TheatreWorks, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, the Aurora Fox, Local Theater, Town Hall, and Phamaly. Nationally, she has directed at Pioneer Theatre, Tent Theatre, New American Theatre, Rochester Civic Theatre, Duluth Playhouse, and Seven Devils. A passionate supporter of new work, Christy has directed numerous staged readings and premieres, including STOCKADE by Andrew Rosendorf, YOU WILL GET SICK by Noah Diaz, THE OPEN HAND by Robert Caisley, GENERAL STORE by Brian Watkins, and THE RAPE OF THE SABINE WOMEN by Michael Yates Crowley. Her work has been recognized with five Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Awards from 16 nominations, and she has been named Top Director by The Denver Post, Westword, and 5280 Magazine. She holds an MFA in Directing from Rutgers University.
