Join us for an exclusive look behind the making of The Elliot Plays by Quiara Alegría Hudes. This behind-the-scenes event follows the artistic process from playwright to designers to director and actors as we dive into Curious Theatre Company’s latest Serial Storytelling adventure.

The Elliot Plays tell the story of Elliot, who enlists right out of high school to follow in his family’s military footsteps, through three phases of his life. Each play is distinct, yet interconnected as we see this young man grapple with what it means to be a soldier, a veteran, a son, and a Puerto Rican. Themes of familial heritage intertwine with questions of how war has shaped a generation in this staggering work.

This event gives audiences a rare glimpse into how Curious will plan for this cycle of work. What is unique about producing three plays by the same playwright over the course of a year? How will the plays be connected, yet still be able to stand on their own? And why has Curious undertaken this thrilling challenge?
